I have been a freelance photographer for a little over 3
years now since leaving my law career. I have always love to
take pictures, especially outdoor pictures of flowers and
sunsets since I was 14. After taking local photography classes
and individual on-going private tutoring classes from Johnnie
Welborn I moved from scenery pictures to portraits as well. A
dear friend help me get started by giving me a Nikon D300 and
Photoshop CS3 and I found what I really love to do best, after
writing. Since becoming active in photography I have been a
member of Clarksville's Downtown Artist's Co-op (DAC) Art
Gallery since December, 2008. I am also a member of
Professional Photographers of America, The National Association
of the Photoshop Professionals and The National Association of
Professional Women. I have also been recognized by Who's Who of
America and Biltmore Who's Who for my Photography work as well
as having been published in a book and the local newspaper.
When I'm
working with my art work I enjoy a combination of landscape
scenes, nostalgic color and black and whites;
orange and blue skies, many flowers and birds that I can
capture with bright color.
Old barns, streams, woods, old run down houses, doors,
trucks in a field, all of nature. I attempt to get a tone and
saturation, either color or black and white, that will "touch"
the observer in a way to elicit a feeling of joy, happiness,
good memories, or any other "good" feeling they may get from the
art. You can see my work on display at the DAC Art Gallery, The
Cumberland Grille, The Mayor's Office, and at times
Silke's German Restaurant.
I have an
outdoor location of over 100 acres which gives shooting a great
advantage with portraits. There is so much more freedom and
endless possibilities for variations for shoots from sitting on
a tractor to walking in a stream! And you can't beat the
beautiful skies and sunsets out in the country that God has
blessed us with. I also have an indoor studio which is very
large and built with a infinity cove which makes for very unique
shots. Whether indoor or out, I have a great location for
family portraits, senior portraits, couples, engagements,
children, models, singles, just about anything you have in mind
and I'd like to make that special dream just for you.
When it
comes to my "art" photography I hope everyone sees some small
wonder of beauty in each photo; or that it will stir memories
for them that will make them happy. My art is a big part of
what I do and enjoy. In my portraits, I want to help someone
"make that memory" they can keep forever be happy with. Thank
you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy both my artistic
photography as well as portrait work.
I also love taking
portraits of couples
and families and hope to do weddings
in the
future.
I want to capture
your dreams, hopes
and desires.
A
picture lasts forever and captures
a memory at a point in time
that you
can go back and look at over and over.
